Understand the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation processes.
Be the thoughtful voice in debates about the digital dimensions of societal problems, and the social, political and cultural aspects of digital challenges.
This bachelor’s programme is for you if you…
• Are curious about the opportunities offered by digital technologies.
• Want to understand the relationships between digitalisation and social change.
• Are concerned about the societal consequences of digital technologies, the use of the data they generate, and artificial intelligence.
• Want to know how technologies can be designed and utilised to improve society.
• Are open to various disciplinary perspectives and willing to learn to combine them.
(Note: You do not need prior knowledge of computing or programming).
Your future career
After graduation, you could continue with a master’s programme, or find work in a wide range of jobs and organisations.
For example, as:
• Marketing coordinator, advertising account manager, digital strategy manager, social media manager, online community manager, or digital journalist.
• Chief digital officer, user experience designer, usability studies expert, procurement specialist, or project manager at a commercial business.
• Policy maker for digital initiatives in different sectors, such as cultural heritage, media, local or (inter)national policy.
• Ethics advisor for companies.
• Researcher on questions about the role of digitalisation.
